Rimmel BB Cream ' Matte' Review

Tonight I'm doing a review on the Rimmel BB Matte which has been in-stores now for a few months & was a new item sent to me from COTY pr

For those with oily skin this maybe your preferred choice, if you have dry skin try & stay far away from all things matte when it comes to your base or foundation.

Ok so onto the review....As of late I have been really enjoying my Rimmel foundations & creams.
there are so many various brands out there that it's hard to decide what to buy & what a BB cream even does for your skin.

Rimmel States
"A fresh take on the 9-in-1 skin perfecting super makeup, in a matte formula.

With three shades available in this release

BB basically stands for 'Beauty Balm' & is a marvelous little creation that's been incredibly big on the current beauty industry. Little did I know until completing my own research is that BB creams were used by many foreign countries for many years but not many people considered the benefits of having one cream replacing 5 or so little jars from your vanity.

First impressions: the consistency was creamy & slightly thicker compared to other BB creams I have tried lately. The coverage was around medium & I found it had a slight orange-y undertone to it. I'm  using the medium shade which looked way too dark when swatching on my skin but after buffing it using my Sigma F80 the colour matched nicely.

A quick comparison with Rimmel's original BB cream in Medium/Dark to the New Rimmel Stay matte in Medium.
Out of the two, the new fresh version is a lot easier on the skin, I remember buying the original BB cream & using it twice before stopping as it gave me slight coverage but started become patchy throughout the day, that's also without any dry skin to cling to.
The new Rimmel BB is far better, the consistency is good & the coverage exceeds their last release.

Honestly BB creams are great, they have reduced the products I use on my skin by half but I'm still yet to find one that's more full coverage that I can use daily without it feeling as heavy as a regular foundation. Would I purchase this again? Probably not, I'm still on the hunt for my perfect  BB that's more fuller coverage & now that CC creams have started being maybe something I'll try next.

Have you tested this product out??
What did you think of it, let me know by leaving a comment below.
