Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks

So this is the first time I have reviewed any of the Rimmel lipsticks, the last time I purchased any from their range was back when Kate Moss teamed up with this brand & released a line of lipsticks (which I adore).

There are 12 new shades available in this range & all look amazing with a mixture of neutral colours & brights..

I found that the colours are very pigmented, heavy & rich with colour, the darker of the shades received in 'Sloanes Plum' was more moisturizing than the others & very smooth in application.
This shade was basically a perfect fit for me as I'm in love with all things purple & grundge this winter.

The lighter shade in 'Ringa Ringa Rosa' was just OK for me personally, barely any colour payoff & didn't last long on the lips but thankfully the light pink shades are the usual ones I pass when browsing the makeup aisle as I find them to be very opaque unless it's matte. This also seemed to stick to any dry spots or settle in my creases.

Notting Hill was a beautiful deep nude shade that I'll end up wearing as an everyday colour or when i pop out of the house for lunch. It applied nicely & had a lot of pay off & seemed to not sink into my creases like the pink shade. I'm actually quite a fan of this one & have used it now 2 to 4 times during my working hours.

Although I found myself having to reapply after drinking a cup of tea, the formula of the darker shades are very moisturizing & pigmented. They look great on but if your looking for long lasting glossy shades you may want to pass on these & go for another drugstore or high end brand but for an everyday lipstick, these looked stunning on the lips.

  1. I am totally in love with these lipsticks! I have five (!!!) including Sloane's Plun but I feel like Ringa Ringa Rosa needs to be added to my collection too.

    1. Oh my five haha

I really liked the darker shades but the lighter shades didn't seem to work for me.

  2. I really love the colour range of these, but after buying one (Dark night waterl-oops) I was totally put off by the formula. I prefer long lasting lipsticks, and I felt I had to constantly worry that the lipstick was sliding all over my face when I wore it. Good thing Rimmel's other lipsticks are fantastic.

    1. Thanks sweetie, yes I don't think I'll purchase any for myself due to liking something that lasts longer but they are very pretty.
