L'Oreal Infallible 24HR Foundation

To say I was impressed with this foundation is an understatement.
I've always been a loyal fan of the L'Oreal True Match Foundation & you've heard me talk about it more often than any other product I own but this has topped the charts for foundations in my book.

Last week I showed you a new foundation by Maybelline (click here) & now I'm showing you the second newly released foundation from their biggest competitor: L'Oreal

I picked up the L'Oreal Infallible 24HR Foundation from Priceline at $31.95. Although not cheap for a drugstore foundation I had to give it a try after swatching it in store with the samples.
The Maybelline foundation was fantastic to say the least with great coverage but seemed to be a little orange after setting on the skin.
The L'Oreal is quite thick in consistency but glides on nicely & provides medium to full coverage.
My Colour match was perfect & I loved that this didn't feel heavy or like I was packing on the product.
I know overseas that this foundation sells with a brush applicator attached to the lid but I'm glad in the land down under we don't have that as I prefer to use my trusty makeup tools.

I tried applying it with both a beauty blender & my Sigma F80 & both worked well, though I love using my brush more then the sponge which is just personal preference.

First impressions of the foundation was me feeling hesitant that this would stay all day on my skin - 5am to 6pm. L'Oreal is adamant that this is a 24hr foundation & I wouldn't have to reapply or touch up during the day.
My nose & t-zone which is the most prominent zone for fading on my face had mild oxidizing for the whole work day with nothing too noticeable .
Even getting home tired at 6pm & looking in the mirror I was surprised on how well this stayed put without & too much fading.

This may now be my new favorite & my trusty True Match which once was my go to foundation for years will be placed in the foundation draw with my other loved but rarely used products.

Quick photo comparison between my last three drugstore foundations.

(L-R L'Oreal Infallible, Maybelline Better Skin & L'Oreal True Match)

Both Infallible & Maybelline are quite thick but True Match has a thinner consistancy which is a lot easier to build for full coverage.

Sales on the foundation will most likely come up at Priceline or Chemist Warehouse, so for a good deal I recommend waiting for that instead of paying full price.
